Signing an influencer doesn’t guarantee they’ll care about your brand or inspire their audience to care. Without a reason to stay invested, creators can deliver posts that check a box but miss the mark. Influencer Engagement is the effort creators put into your brand, including how consistently they post, how thoughtfully they create, and how their audience responds.
A strong strategy earns that effort by focusing on what creators earn, the resources they receive, and how you use performance insights to improve the partnership.
What Influencer Engagement Looks Like on Linka
Creators on Linka choose, and they choose often. Each listing a creator browses carries the pay, meaning the commission rate and the Paid DM reward, and the work, meaning the brand assets, creative requirements and campaign details. Your campaign is a single line in a long list, and the incentives and the materials are the parts of that line you shape.
The mechanics are short. Every creator runs a Meta-approved Comment-to-DM campaign:
- The creator invites followers to comment a keyword on a Reel, Story or Live, and Linka sends each commenter your offer by DM.
- You reward the creator for qualified DMs and through affiliate commissions.
- The dashboard tracks top-performing creators alongside qualified DMs, clicks, purchases and commissions in real time.
Engagement on Linka is therefore a number you can read every week, and a number can be managed. It moves with the incentives, the materials, and the follow-through.
Offer Incentives Creators Will Choose
A strong influencer engagement strategy starts with the floor. A Paid DM Campaign rewards a creator when they generate qualified Instagram DMs. That model is cost per DM, and it acts as a complement to affiliate marketing that works by "rewarding engagement before the sale." Add the upside next. You choose the commission rate, and when a customer buys through a creator's AI Shop or affiliate links, the commission is tracked and paid automatically.
The pairing fits what marketers report. In a Modash survey of more than 50 marketers published in December 2025, 61% used some form of performance-based pay for influencers in 2025, while over 45% said influencers were less open to becoming affiliates. Commission alone asks a creator to wait for the last step. A Paid DM pays for the first.
Give the audience a reason to comment as well. The brands page lists exclusive creator discounts among the setup options, and an offer followers can't get elsewhere makes the creator's post easier to write.
Bonuses come last. These typically include product gifts and exclusive paid incentives for creators, and calls bonuses an accelerator. Commissions and Paid DM Campaigns alone work well for most brands, and a bonus speeds up participation. Think of a bonus as thanks for a result. After a strong first campaign, send a gift that suits the creator's audience, such as a trail pack for an outdoors creator. Keep an exclusive paid incentive for the creator whose posts carried a launch. Both land better when the dashboard shows what earned them.
Give Creators the Marketing Materials They Need
A creator who accepts your campaign still has to make something, and the result depends on what you hand over. The brands page lists what a campaign can include: brand videos, images, logos, creative inspiration, messaging guidelines, campaign requirements, product information, exclusive discount codes and commission rates. The same FAQ ties the kit to speed, saying the easier it is for creators to create, the faster campaigns launch.
In a 2025 survey of 500 creators reported by Net Influencer, 58% preferred clear guidelines to complete creative freedom, and only 21% favored full creative license. Consider writing the kit as if the creator will never call you. Say what the post must show, what it must not claim and which keyword the audience should comment. Put the discount code and the commission rate where they're easy to find. Add the dates that matter, such as a restock or a sale window.
Product information deserves the most care when it comes to influencer engagement, because a creator's AI Shopping Agent answers from what the creator supplies. Pull the last 100 pre-purchase questions from your support inbox and your DMs, and check that the material answers them: sizing, shipping times, ingredients, returns and who the product suits.
A coffee brand might send a logo and a discount code and call it done. A better kit adds three short videos, the roast and origin details, a brew guide, shipping times by region and the 10 questions the support team answers most. When a price changes or a blend sells out, update the kit and tell your creators the same day, so no follower hears an old answer.
Stay in Touch After the Campaign Goes Live
Launch day starts the work. Write to your top creators through whichever channel you already share, and keep each note short. A good note holds a result, something new and a question. The result comes from the dashboard, such as the qualified DMs and purchases that creator produced. The new item is a restock, a launch or a change in the offer. The question asks what the creator needs for the next post.
Add what shoppers said. The brands page says the dashboard shows "what your audience asked, what they objected to, and what pushed them toward purchase." A creator who learns that shoppers keep asking whether a blend is low in acid can answer it in the next Reel.
A note might read: "Your cold brew Reel brought in the most qualified DMs of any creator this month. Shoppers keep asking whether the blend is low in acid, so I've added that answer to the campaign notes. The new roast ships on the 3rd. What do you need from us for your next post?" It gives the result, passes on what shoppers said, names a date and asks for input.
Keep the best creators close. Linka lets you bring your own creators into a campaign or pick from its network, and its FAQ says creators are "motivated to continue promoting products that perform well." The ones who perform are worth the next invitation.

Review Your Influencer Engagement Strategy Every Month
Once a month, read the dashboard against your incentives and your materials. You can track qualified DMs, clicks, purchases, affiliate commissions, revenue, conversion rates, creator performance, Paid DM performance and campaign ROI. Look for three patterns:
- Few qualified DMs. Check the keyword, the offer and the reward. A creator comparing your campaign with others may find the reward thin or the post hard to make.
- Many qualified DMs, few purchases. Check product information and price. Interest is there, so the gap may sit in the answers shoppers get next.
- A few creators carrying most of the results. Thank them first, ask what they'd change about the campaign, and consider a bonus.
Change one thing at a time, so next month's numbers show which change worked. After three months, you'll likely know which incentives and which materials your creators respond to.
Influencer engagement rewards the brand that keeps showing up. This week, open the dashboard, find your three best creators, and send each a note with one result and one question.
