Black Friday falls on November 27 this year, and many of the people who'll buy from you that day began looking weeks ago. A Black Friday creator campaign can still reach them, and it can be running within days.
To launch a Black Friday creator campaign, connect your affiliate program, set an offer and a discount code, activate creators, and pay for results. On Linka, each creator runs a Meta-approved Comment-to-DM campaign:
- A follower comments on a post
- A direct message with your offer arrives
- You pay for each qualified DM plus commission on the sales that follow
NRF's October 2025 holiday survey found that 42% of shoppers planned to begin before November and 63% planned to wait until Thanksgiving weekend to do most of their shopping, so a campaign has to be live for both.
Why a Black Friday Creator Campaign Has 2 Deadlines
Take a shopper who spots a wool coat on October 20. She likes it, but she doesn't buy it. She watches a creator try it on, reads a review, asks her sister, and sets the matter aside until the sales begin. On November 27 she buys a coat, and it comes from whichever brand kept turning up while she was deciding.
The first deadline is the research window, and it's open now. Brands tend to plan the weekend with great care and the weeks before it hardly at all, which is rather like preparing a fine dinner and forgetting to send the invitations.
In NRF's survey of 8,247 adult consumers, run by Prosper Insights & Analytics in the first week of October 2025, 42% planned to begin browsing and buying before November. The same survey found that 63% planned to wait until Thanksgiving weekend to do most of their holiday shopping, up from 59% the year before, and that 60% expected to finish in December. Add 42% and 63% and you get more than 100%, so some shoppers sit in both groups, looking in October and buying over Thanksgiving weekend. Those are plans people stated last October, so use them to shape your calendar and expect some drift.
The second deadline is the weekend itself. When the crowd arrives, your offer, your code and your checkout have to work without anyone touching them. A code that fails on Friday morning costs more than a post that went out a week late, because a shopper who meets an error may well buy the coat from the next brand in her feed. Miss the first deadline and the creators who spent October on other brands have a head start. Miss the second and Friday goes to somebody else.
Some teams call this a Black Friday influencer campaign and others file it under a Black Friday affiliate campaign. Linka covers both, since creators earn for the conversations they start and for the sales that follow.
Connect Your Program and Build the Campaign
Start with the dull work, because the rest sits on top of it. You can connect through AWIN, Rakuten, CJ, Impact or Shopify, or send a direct product feed, and Linka imports your products, offers, pricing and tracking links.
Then build the campaign. Gather what creators will need: brand videos and images, logos, messaging guidelines, campaign requirements, product information, commission rates, and the exclusive discount codes. Product information deserves the most care. The answers a shopper gets from the AI Shopping Agent draw on what you've supplied, so a missing size chart becomes a missing answer.
The offer is where Black Friday plans tend to go slack. Pick a discount you can honor all weekend. Give Linka creators an exclusive discount code, so their followers get an offer that regular shoppers can't find on your homepage. Set a commission that holds up beside what other brands pay. Creators judge an offer by the work it takes and how reliably it pays, which is why a clear incentive structure is often more important than a higher rate.
Then comes the part that's particular to Linka. Affiliate programs pay for clicks and sales and leave the conversation in between unpriced. A paid DM campaign prices it. The brands page lists a Paid DM at $0.25 per DM. A qualified DM meets the campaign's rules, which in practice means a real customer asking for your product or offer, and that's what you pay for. Add your commission and creators earn when a conversation starts and again when it ends in a sale.
For a weekend this big you can add a bonus as well, such as gifts of product or an exclusive paid incentive. The brands page says most brands do well on commission and Paid DMs alone and that bonuses speed up creator participation, so a bonus earns its keep when time is short.
Activate Creators before the Research Window Closes
Now find the people to carry it. Linka recruits and invites creators for you. You can also invite your own or pick from the network. Look first for creators who already talk about your category to an audience that resembles your customers. Begin with a small group that fits, and add to it as results come in.
New creators apply to join Linka, and the creators page says they typically hear back within 24 to 48 hours and should launch a first DM campaign within 5 days of acceptance. Start the week of October 12 and approvals typically arrive by October 14, with first campaigns live by October 19. A creator can join several campaigns, so yours will sit beside other brands' offers. That's another reason to make the offer worth the post.
Disclosure belongs in the guidelines you upload. The FTC says an endorsement should make it obvious when there's a material connection with the brand, and it's safest to treat an offer that arrives by DM the same way. Write the disclosure line once, hand it to every creator, and look at the first posts as they go live.

How the Black Friday Creator Campaign Runs from Comment to Payout
Once a creator posts, the sequence runs on its own. A follower sees the reel and comments the keyword the creator asked for. The Meta-approved Comment-to-DM campaign sends a direct message with your offer and the next step. From there the follower can ask the creator's AI Shopping Agent about sizing, shipping or ingredients, get answers drawn from your product information, and buy through a tracked link.
Linka records every qualified DM and the clicks, purchases and commissions that follow. The dashboard adds GMV, conversion rates and campaign ROI, and in the last week it deserves a look every morning. If a creator's DMs are climbing and purchases aren't, something between the message and the checkout is in the way, and Tuesday is a better day to find it than Saturday.
Leave the code alone once the posts are live. A follower who got it in a DM on Thursday will try it on Saturday, and a code you changed on Friday won't work for them. The same goes for the offer. If either must change, tell every creator the same day. Check your stock too, since a bestseller that sells out on Friday leaves creators sending people to a page that says so.
Payment follows performance. You pay for the qualified DMs and for commission on eligible sales, so the spend tracks the results. The dashboard will show you which creators earned a place on next year's list.
Launch Your Black Friday Creator Campaign before the Peak
A calendar helps. If you start the week of October 12, it can run like this:
- October 12 to 16: connect your program, upload your assets and codes, and set the commission and Paid DM rate
- October 14: creator approvals typically arrive
- October 19: first campaigns should be live
- October 19 to November 6: research content, with creators answering the questions shoppers are asking
- November 9 to 13: confirm the offer dates, test the code, and place a real order through checkout
- November 23 to 26: the push before Thanksgiving
- November 27 to 30: Black Friday through Cyber Monday, with the dashboard open every morning
- December 1: review which creators brought in qualified DMs and sales, and keep the best campaigns running
If October has slipped away from you, a last-minute Black Friday creator campaign still works. Keep it small. Settle on one offer, test one code, upload the assets you already have, and invite the creators you trust most. A start on Monday, November 16 can have creators approved by the 18th and live by the 23rd. That still leaves Thanksgiving week and the peak itself.
Connect the program first. Everything else on that calendar follows from it.
